We believe that what we do is about more than making treats. We believe that every young person deserves a sweeter start in life, and supporting this belief has become our driving core purpose.

To put this purpose into action, we have formed local and national partnerships with nonprofit organizations, each of which has unique expertise in the ways they champion youth and the communities that serve them.

Our community partnership philosophy starts with mission alignment, in that each partner must support the social-emotional wellbeing of youth by working to increase equity and access to opportunity within their communities.

This approach has resulted in organic, custom partnerships built to serve our expert partners’ specific needs, and the shared desire to engage in work which creates true transformational change.

Lancaster Independent School District Back 2 School Bash

Each year, American Licorice gears up for back to school by supporting local organizations in each of our home communities. This year, we were so excited to be a part of our first Back 2 School Bash with our fantastic partners at Lancaster Independent School District in Lancaster, TX! ALC volunteers spent some time ahead of the event prepping backpacks full of school supplies, which they distributed to hundreds of kids and their families at the Bash. See highlights from this fantastic day in Texas.
