Juneteenth marks the pivotal anniversary of the true end to slavery in the United States, and is now a day of celebrating, learning, and creating a greater understanding of social justice and equality. Each year, American Licorice gears up for back to school by supporting local organizations in each of our home communities. This year, we were so excited to be a part of our first Back 2 School Bash with our fantastic partners at Lancaster Independent School District in Lancaster, TX! ALC volunteers spent some time ahead of the event prepping backpacks full of school supplies, which they distributed to hundreds of kids and their families at the Bash.
