Position Overview:

 

Lead and coach the maintenance department with innovative ideas and dedication. This includes setting objectives and establishing measurements for the department. Update and/or create policies and procedures for maintenance to improve efficiency within the manufacturing plant. Provide leadership in Lean Manufacturing by implementing concepts and providing training. Communicate effectively with external and internal customers to minimize production downtime. Participate as an active member of the Union City management team.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Provide departmental leadership, focus and direction.
  • Manage maintenance related activities throughout the plant.
  • Implement and enforce company guidelines and promote team culture.
  • Oversee building and plant maintenance.
  • Develop and manage departmental spending and budgeting.
  • Approve maintenance and facility spending as directed by Dir. Of Manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance training program.
  • Ensure compliance to all State and Federal regulations.
  • Direct and oversee work of Contractors and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Team member/leader with SQF initiative.
  • Responsible for Food Safety, as required by position

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

·      Bachelor’s degree as well as previous trade management experience in a production environment with multi-craft and skilled workers.

·      Language skills- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

·      Computer skills –ability to use and interpret job related software and programs.

·      Lean manufacturing/process improvement training and experience.

·      Minimum of five years of direct experience managing the activities of a maintenance department.

Office environment, temp controlled. can be in some areas of the production floor that are warm, hot or cold depending on what season we are in. can be exposed to some fumes from flavors & colors as they are testing them.
