Position Overview:

 This position provides support to end users for basic computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues. Identifies, researches and resolves routine technical problems of low complexity. Responds to telephone, email and on-line requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem using applicable systems and tools. May coordinate with other teams or departments to resolve user problems. May perform password re-sets for users. Supports a user community that ranges greatly in technical experience and ability, so personality and communication skills are key.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot MS Office, Windows desktop operating systems, phone, cell phone, copier and printer issues.
  • Support users with technology related to meetings. This includes training room systems, video conference systems, Skype for Business or other online meeting technology.
  • Setup and deploy workstations, laptops, cell phones and desk phones including wiring.
  • Help with cell phone requests such as travel requests, assumption of liability requests, and upgrade requests.
  • Support users as they may move to different locations within the building.
  • Monitor and resolve helpdesk tickets.
  • Report on root cause of support tickets.
  • Requisition management, issue and receive PO’s for the department.
  • Organize the IT area and keep IT inventory up to date
  • Responsible for Food Safety as related to the position

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Associate’s degree, or certificates.
  • Basic knowledge of PC’s, MS Office and Windows OS.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of common networking technologies and protocols
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, dedication and reliability

 Work will be performed in an office environment as well as in a manufacturing facility.  Exposure to manufacturing equipment can be expected.  This includes forklifts, production lines, food ingredients.
